Article: Unseen Meets The Crooks

Unseen Meets The Crooks

Unseen Meets The Crooks

Footwear takes on a different character when someone makes it their own. We consider the silhouette, materials and details from the start, but how they’re worn brings another perspective.

For The Crooks, that meant styling the Runa, Regent and Clarn for a shoot connected through our relationship with Vault Brand Management. Three different expressions of Unseen, worn with the band’s own sense of style.

The Chesterfield band has been building its sound since 2019, returning from a two-year hiatus in 2024 with “In the Meantime” and a sold-out spring tour. Tracks including “Wide Awake” and “Dreaming Out Loud” offer an introduction to their anthemic rock ’n’ roll sound.

Music and personal style have always shared a close relationship. What a band wears becomes part of its identity, alongside the songs. For us, this shoot offered a chance to see the collection interpreted outside our own product imagery.

The Runa brings together nubuck, leather and mesh in a considered take on the technical runner. Its layered construction balances texture and shape with Unseen's understated approach to branding.

The Regent takes a different direction. A modern evolution of the Noirmont, it combines tumbled leather, perforated leather and suede with a subtle influence from ’90s skate footwear. Cushioned comfort and an elevated branded sole complete the design.

The Clarn adds another perspective, with a technical-inspired silhouette crafted from rubberised leather, suede and mesh. Contrasting textures give it a distinct character while keeping the focus on materials and detail.

Together, the three styles reflect the same attention to design while leaving room for the wearer’s personality. Seeing them on The Crooks gives us another view of the collection: familiar designs, brought into a different creative world.
